As a provincial public institution of category II under the Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation, it serves as the province's sole comprehensive transportation research organization. After nearly 40 years of development and construction, its research domains now encompass road engineering, structural engineering, integrated transportation systems, road transport engineering, standards and metrology, port and navigation engineering, information engineering, intelligent transportation systems, transportation planning, as well as transportation environment, safety, and energy conservation.

 

Collaborative Projects

In August 2016, a technical cooperation agreement was signed with the Shandong Provincial Transportation Science Research Institute concerning “implementing product quality control, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, innovating mechanisms, and jointly accelerating the technological development of asphalt pavement materials.”
In September 2016, the company was awarded the designation “Shandong Provincial Transportation Science Research Institute Product Comprehensive Quality Control Unit.”
